In this tutorial, we show you how to send an initial 0.2 Algos to your wallet. At the time of writing (October 2022) 0.2 Algos has a value of about $0.07 USD. However, because of the way Algorand works, with a transaction cost of 0.001 Algos, you can use your 0.2 Algos to opt into and receive about 100 NFTs in total. The 0.2 Algo funding is made available as a courtesy for anyone who as purchased a book from chainreads.com. Please do not try to abuse this system.
Steps to fund your wallet
These steps assume you already have an Algorand wallet. The official Algorand wallet is called Pera Algo Wallet, and is available on the Android and Apple stores.
Step 1: go to https://www.chainreads.com/nft/fundwallet/
Step 2: Enter the email address and invoice number from one of your purchases. Also enter the Algorand wallet address where you would like the 0.2 Algos to be sent.
Step 3: Click Submit.
Step 4: Read the Status output. If all goes succesfully, the output should look like this:
If there are 0 transactions ahead in the queue, then you will receive the 0.2 Algos in your wallet within 10 seconds.
